Marsala

Marsala, famous for the landing of Garibaldi's thousand and for its wine of the same name "Marsala" is a famous seaside town, with beautiful beaches and blue sea, among the most beautiful to see on the western side of the island. The apartments are in an excellent location, in the heart of the historic center of Marsala. From the apartments a few minutes walk you can reach the main places of interest from the cultural sites located in the city center, to the Mother Church, to the shopping street in Via XI Maggio (at the Cassaro) and Via Roma, to the restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Since the apartments are in the center, the area is well equipped with services including butcher, supermarket, fishmongers, pharmacies, tobacconists and shops of various types just 50 meters from the apartments. In the historic center there are also the major points of attraction and historical interest such as: the Cathedral of Marsala, the Tapestry Museum, the Archaeological Museum, Insula Romana, the Roman villa, the Art Gallery of Marsala, Capo Boeo (or even Capo Lilibeo) which is the extreme western tip of the island.

The coast of Marsala is full of beautiful beaches, including some of the most beautiful in the province of Trapani. Among the most famous beaches: Lido Signorino, Lido Marakaibbo, Lido Mediterraneo, Lido Delfino, Punta Tramontana Beach, San Teodoro Beach. The beaches are easily accessible by public transport or bicycle starting from the urban center as they are not far away. On the Boeo seafront, reachable on foot from the apartments, you will find the Boeo lido, a small beach equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds. Marsala is a city of inestimable beauty, full of history and culture, it is possible to visit museums and remains that tell centuries of history, ranging from Magna Graecia to the landing of Garibaldi. Surrounded by stunning landscapes ranging from sparkling salt flats to golden beaches and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, this city offers a gateway to exploring the region's rich traditions and enchanting views. From the seafront of Marsala and precisely from Capo Boeo it will be easy to see the beautiful Egadi islands in the distance: Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo which can be reached every day by hydrofoil, boat tours, excursions and mini-cruises from the Port of Marsala.

You cannot leave Marsala without visiting the city's cellars where you can taste the delicious Marsala doc. Among the recommended are: the Florio Cellars, the Historic Cellars of Donnafugata and the Pellegrino Cellars, where guided tours are organized daily. Along the road that goes from Marsala to Trapani, do not miss a visit to the Stagnone Salt Pans which is a paradise made of white dunes, mirrors of light and ancient mills, to the beautiful island of Mozia and admire a beautiful sunset. Along the coast of Marsala you can discover beautiful beaches.

In the beautiful Marsala there is a place that has become a small paradise, all Italian but now internationally famous, for kitesurfing lovers, capable of attracting enthusiasts from all over the world every year. Here is the lagoon of the stagnone, the most evocative and windy in all of Europe, characterized by beaches of fine white sand and a clear and transparent sea. The Stagnone is a very popular tourist destination for kitesurfing lovers and Marsala is one of the world capitals. Finally, from Marsala you can easily go and visit Segesta, the temples of Selinunte, the temples of Agrigento, Riserva dello Zingaro, Erice, the Faraglioni of Scopello and San Vito lo Capo.
